Stuck in X (Twitter) webview

I clicked a link in a post on your Twitter feed to read more about a job. About 10s into reading the post, the page contents disappeared and was replaced with a “Didn’t find what you’re looking for?” page. Those normally are not an issue, but I was actively reading the page when it appeared, couldn’t find a way to minimize/close the popup, and ultimately had to abandon the webview/microbrowser back to the post in the app.

Hardware: iPhone 14
Firmware: iOS 18.3.2
App: the official X app

I haven’t tested it in an actual mobile browser, but at least in the X app webview browser that popup is a bit wonky. Maybe it disappears if I enter my email, but I’m not sure that’s the intended behavior 😉

    After putting the app in the background and coming back, the blue bar at the top was more visible and the X in the corner closed it perfectly. Maybe I was scrolled down just barely too far to see it both times I encountered it, but it isn’t possible to tap and scroll the popup up or down.

      Appreciate you looking into this so much, Nate! I wasn’t able to recreate it on my end but making it somewhat scrollable is probably a good idea. I’m definitely using CSS to prevent that pop up from being scrollable.
